Mumtaz Mufti
This book by Mumtaz Mufti is based on his own life which came out as a novel but it was revealed by the author later on that it is in fact first part of his autobiography covering the span from his childhood up to the time of creation of Pakistan (1905 to1947). Mufti wrote boldly and held nothing back. He wrote about everything that happened in his life, no matter how stupid or embarrassing, whether be it about him or others. (Consequently, when he was set to write the sequel ‘Alakh Nagri’, some people around him had to request him to go easy on their secrets!)
