Romance, comedy, revenge, wholesome family moments and love triangles, these 3 Pakistani dramas are promising and will cover your knack for some desi entertaintment
KUCH ANKAHI
When the teasers of Kuch Ankahi started airing, it promised to be a fun and entertaining show with wholesome family moments along with some important messages. The drama discusses issues relating to women’s legal and religious right to property, workplace harassment, pressurizing girls for marriage, body shaming, and many more problems prevalent in Pakistani society, wrapped in humor and wit.
Mohammed Ahmed as Agha Jan is the head of the family consisting of his wife and three daughters (Mira Sethi, Sajal Aly and Qudsia Ali). Agha inherited an old mansion from his forefathers. Since many extended family members have their claims on the house, Agha visits courts at least 5 days a week. Bilal Abbas Khan as Salman is a young lad who enters Agha’s house as a tenant; and then Aliya’s life as a friend. He is also a real estate agent. Due to Aliya’s struggle, he has a soft corner for her in his heart.
The dialogues are impressive and so are the performances from a star-studded cast. So far, only ep 1 of Kuch Ankahi has been aired so you can catch up right now!

TERE BIN
After Dil Na Umeed Nahi massive pairing of Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi, we were totally bowled over this pairing in Tere Bin. The ensemble cast includes Bushra Ansari, Sohail Sameer, Farhan Ali Agha, Fazila Qazi, Sabeen Farooq, Mehmood Aslam, Haris Waheed, Agha Mustafa, and highlights the love-hate relationship between Meerab and Murtasim, who are also cousins.
While Murtasim is an arrogant feudal lord from an influential family in Hyderabad, but he is not as toxic as he seems from the trailers. Meerab on the other hand, is a resilient girl who is not afraid to speak her mind. What is common between this is too is their intolerance towards injustice apart from their egos. And in spite of the drama’s OTT script and some very cliched moves, Tere Bin has managed to make its way into the hearts of the Pakistani audience between.
While Meerab and Murtasim refuse to accept Bhabhi Begum’s orders to be married to eachother, Haya (their cousin) has also declared her love for Murtasim. The play also highlights the importance of consent, compatibility and law.
With 4 episodes down, a lot has happened thus far, which is why we recommend that you watch Tere Bin and decide for yourself if you will fall for the leads and their story.

What do we really expect from a love triangle that speaks of unspoken love, attraction and jealousy? Mujay Pyar Hua Tha is a cliched drama with so many scenes that could have been delivered well, however the brilliant performances from our leads cover them.
Ep 5 of Mujay Pyar Hua aired on January 10, 2023 and a proposal has been sent by whom? There are a lot of feelings of love, being cruelly crushed and emotional blackmailing involved. Let’s how Mujay Pyar Hua Tha goes on.
