KASHAF, ZINDAGI GULZAR HAI
Sanam Saeed’s role as Kashaf was both empowering and liberating in Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Her qualms against male chauvinism and class structure lead her to be a strong, fierce and independent woman who demands respect and some sort of equilibrium if not equality. Like any other girl, she also wants the good things in life, which she feels deprived from due to her poor background, Sanam showcased the lust to be deemed as an individual and not an object is what sets her apart from all other female protagonists.
