The jingle, “Chai Chaiye” by Lipton is a beautiful throwback to time as it highlights every Pakistani’s (young and old) obsession for chai, so we’re super thrilled with the modern comeback that it has made with a twist! Besides “Chai Chaiye” being a creative anthem, we also commend the brand, Lipton, for their unique take on an important aspect of life, which is to take out time out of our busy lives and connect. And what better way is there to get in touch with each other over a cup of chai?! *slurp!*
THE NEW JINGLE EVOKES NOSTALGIA
Even though it was a risky move to recreate an iconic jingle that’s entrenched in our minds, however it certainly captivated us. From the beginning till the end you see different generations wade through life, who give the jingle a pleasant and refreshing vibe. Which means that we all get to be a part of something together!
THE TALENTED BILAL MAQSOOD COMPOSED IT
Written, composed and produced by the talented Bilal Maqsood, we traveled back to the 90’s with the twist and sound of “pop” in the new jingle, which made it all the more melodious with the top notes and off-beat sounds that are sure shot reminders of what a good time should feel like jeb “Chai Chaiye”!
THE MELODY IS RELEVANT IN TODAY’S TIME
With a mix of genres, the sweet recreation of “Chai Chaiye” cleanses your palette and makes it super relatable as it ropes in the millennial’s as well as, gen Z and X, who connect and associate to the rhythm of music.
YOU GET TO SEE SO MANY SURPRISING FACES IN THE TVC
It was exciting and rejuvenating to see so many faces of all ages from Javed Sheikh to Junaid Khan to Madiha Imam and Bilal Maqsood himself (who was looking absolutely dishy) as he gave us a move or two. Therefore, to see all these people in different setups and phases of life simply gave the jingle “Chai Chaiye” a transient feel as time passes by and our love for chai (with our people) gets stronger.
CEMENTS OUR ETERNAL LOVE FOR “CHAI”
The jingle perfectly sums up every Pakistani’s love for “Chai” and solidifies their love for this national drink no matter where you are. Because all it takes is a cup of chai to spend some meaningful time as you chill with your friends, gossip over a karak cup or make important life decisions.
