[tps_header]Haute Couture Week is my absolute favourite fashion related week of the year. It comes guilt free without the lust for wanting to buy at least fifty percent of the items on the runway- without the constant looking and chasing for a good deal for the ‘it’ bag or adorably kooky shoes, of the season. Haute Couture week is a time for the brands to really put forward their best foot. And they do just that. Haute Couture week has one aim: to makes the most gorgeous outfits which are more of a spectacle. This week gives the brands a chance to translate high fashion however they want- to set the trends for what is to follow- a chance to even redefine the brand. Whilst many fashion houses have gone in a ‘wearable’ haute couture direction, there are still some that add unorthodox materials to their couture displays. Here are my favourite looks from the Haute Couture Week, Fall 2015.[/tps_header]
Giambattista Valli
Valli remains true to his form- florals, a selection of beautiful colours, flattering silhouettes and maybe a little inspiration from the east. Valli’s collection boasted use of tulle, ostrich feathers, print and palette of colours, which ranged from basic black to very light pastels. I loved the dresses. The highlight of his collection: the embroided pants and long shirts were very reminiscent of our cigarette pants and long kameez.
