Spring is gone and has given way to our oh so favourite Summer! While we all are happy to have sunny days ahead, its dreadful to think of the hot and sultry weather that is here to ruin our glamorous attires and makeup. Follow some of these guidelines on how to make your makeup last longer in this sweltering heat because these are possibly the best makeup tips!
INVEST IN A GOOD PRIMER & FOUNDATION
The most important step of makeup is setting the base right. So the important thing to do is invest in a good primer that’ll suit your skin and a good concealer that doesn’t feel too heavy around the eyes. Ps. Always go for a foundation that matches your undertone, which is generally yellow for everyone, because going for a tone lighter or darker just puts the shade off.

Primer: Revlon photo ready perfecting primer
Foundation: Mac Pro long wear nourishing waterproof foundation
PUT THE POWDER ASIDE
It’s one great product to set your makeup and give you that caked/baked look that we all sometimes love, BUT skip the powder in summers because you would want to look dewy and less puffed up with a strict powder routine.
SAY HELLO TO LIQUID LINERS & WATERPROOF MASCARA
Smudging is one technique that I absolutely love because its a game-changer, but in summers, a black eye can look horrible while you wipe the sweat and eyeliner off. So give a good waterproof liquid eye liner a good try and perhaps a mascara because they stick to you and last.

SAY YES TO GEL & CREAM-BASED EYE SHADOWS
This summer we suggest you to choose gel and cream-based eye-shadows as they are readily available in several shades and are blendable colours. When you’re using a powdered eye shadow, they crease, look awful when you swear and can be quiet the pain if not done right.

GOOD LOOKING SORBET COLOURS
We aren’t saying no to your favourite Reds and Pinks and yellow’s. But these sunny days call for vibrant outfits so you tone down your makeup by choosing pretty natural and nude colours that would warm up your skin tone.
SET YOUR MAKEUP WITH A SETTING SPRAY
Makeup setting sprays are specifically designed to prevent makeup meltdown. And like a hairspray for the face, you have a face mist for that makeup to set in its place.

Setting Spray: Urban Decay All Night long lasting setting spray
AVOID TOUCHING YOUR FACE
It’s an unconscious habit but it should cringe you thinking that you’re spreading those germs and allergens on the other parts of your face. So refrain from picking on inflammed skin, spots and pimples or even rubbing your eyes for that mater.
COOL DOWN
Applying your makeup post-shower could be the reason that your makeup is melting away. Your hot, damp skin is basically repelling all things makeup. So before you get on with your makeup, chill and let your skin breathe for a while. Try icing, it works wonders.
