Ashi reminisces about her conversation with Momin
This week’s first episode began with Ashi remembering the promise she made to Momin that she will only wear a ring on her left hand from his hands and no one else.
Imaam sahab continues to be source of comfort for Momin
The imaam of the neighborhood mosque who adores Momin tells him that Allah will create a way for him and Ashi to be together.
Ashi gets engaged
The guy of Jameel’s choice and his mother come to their house to make things official by exchanging rings between the two. When Ashi extends her left hand, they see burn marks on it, there by fulfilling her promise. He puts the ring on her left hand. Just then, Momin’s mother comes to their house and sees Ashi’s engagement.
Momin learns of Ashi’s engagement
Momin’s mother is distraught as she comes homes and breaks the news to her family. Momin hears it too and proceeds to go to Ashi’s house. Before he could leave, his father warns him to think of his two young sisters before taking any decision.
Momin has a confrontation with Jameel and Ashi
Jameel asks Momin to go away because Ashi is engaged now. Momin asks Ashi if she is happy with this engagement to which she says no but asks him if he has the courage to take her away right this instant. He tells her he doesn’t want to be with her like that. Tired and angry of Momin waiting for a miracle, she tells him to leave.
Ashi reminds Momin of the promise she made to him
Ashi, in a fit of rage, tells Momin to not accuse her of being disloyal to her because she didn’t let another man put a ring on her hand, like she promised to him. Ashi’s mother explains to her that he has a family and sisters. He can’t do something for which he will have to repent for the rest of his life.
Maya wants everyone to leave her alone
Maya’s mother wants to know why her phone is switched off and she is avoiding her friends. She says its nothing and doesn’t want to talk about it. Her mother tells her she waited half her life to talk to her husband and now she will have to wait the rest of her life to talk to Maya. Upon realizing her rude behavior, she apologizes to her mother and assures her everything is alright.
Our Verdict
The episode was charged with drama and emotion. Ashi’s scene with Momin was a particularly intense one. The acting from everyone remains amazing. The drama has managed to maintain a steady pace which is always a plus point.
