The last few episodes of Dil-e-Momin were intense and sad, almost heartbreaking because nothing seemed to be working out for our main characters, aka Momin and Ashi. Now, fans can rejoice because this episode was a treat, a redemption of sorts because of the most amazing development that has happened. Read onto find out.
Ashi is heartbroken
Ashi wishes she would never face Momin again because if they do see each other, he will see her anguish in her eyes and she won’t be able to marry Fakhar. Aansa prays Fakhar mends his ways and becomes a good husband.
Fari tells Waleed of her mistake
Waleed is annoyed and upset when he learns that Fakhar wasn’t the man who had stopped Aini’s way. He asks her who was he but Fari has no idea.
Maya’s mother tells her to move on
Seeing her terrible mood, Maya’s mother guesses that the boy she wants to marry has said no to her. She tells her to move on and consider Gohar’s proposal.
Fakhar calls Ashi again
Fakhar tells Ashi to come along with her parents to his place who are dropping by later in the day. She tells him she will have to live her life according to his wishes after marriage.
All hell breaks lose
Once Ashi’s parents come to Fakhar’s place, they learn he is not home. Aansa overhears Fakhar’s mother asking him where he is over the phone and forbidding him from going to see Ashi. Aansa and Jamil immediately leave for their place because she is sure Ashi is in trouble.
Fakhar barges in when Ashi is alone
He misbehaves with her, and tries to assault her. She runs out of the house without a dupatta where she is rescued by Shahzad who covers her up. Jamil and Aansa come at the same time. Jamil throws Fakhar out in a fit of rage.
Jamil realizes his mistakes
Jamil is unable to face Ashi after knowing he put her honor and dignity at risk. Later, he goes to Shahzad’s place and tells Momin’s family that Ashi is theirs now which means he is ready for her and Momin’s marriage.
Ashi calls Momin
Aansa tells Ashi about the miracle that has just happened in her and Momin’s favor. She calls Momin and asks him to bring the garlands that he used to buy for her in the past, and the two smile.
The scene where Jamil sees Fakhar for who he is and of his character was written and shot impeccably. The episode belonged to Shabbir Jan Aini Zaidi and Moomal Sheikh as Ashi’s parents and Ashi respectively. Brilliant performances.
