With the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, we also have some new upcoming dramas in Ramadan 2022 that the Pakistani audiences and fans are anticipating.
With some fun plots, exceptional writing and direction, to debuts of new on-screen pairings, we’re super thrilled to be looking forward to these 3 upcoming dramas in Ramdan 2022 that are starting from the 1st of Ramadan and all of them are written by Saima Akram Chaudhry who can safely be crowned as the queen of Ramadan shows.
Here are the details of the dramas, cast and when + where they will air on TV>
CHAUDHRY & SONS
To watch two massive stars like Ayeza Khan and Imran Ashraf is perhaps the best of Pakistani television ever. We know how ridiculously talented Ayeza is and to add Imran in that mix is the perfect recipe for a hit TV serial. Chaudhry & Sons is going to bring comedy, fun, romance, family drama and suspense between two families that are polar opposites from each other (one are completely Punjabi style, the other is Hyderabadi). So we appreciate the subtle but strong message of inter-caste marriages between two people who belong to different cultures and creed find a way to live together.
Chaudhry & Sons is also written by Saima Akram Chaudhry and will highlight all the genres set in a typical Pakistani house-hold with Pari (Ayeza) and Sohail (Imran) in the forefront.
Ps. Don’t you just love Ayeza’s perm?
You can watch Chaudhry & Sons on GEO TV at 9 pm Monday through Friday from the 1st of Ramadan.
HUM TUM
Last year, the director of Chupke Chupke floored us with Ayeza Khan and Osman Khalid Butt for the Ramadan special, and he’s back this year with Hum Tum starring the top actors of our country; Ahad Raza Mir, Junaid Khan, Ramsha Khan and Sarah Khan. Writer Saima Akram Chaudhry is back after Suno Chanda and Chupke Chupke and we’re super excited because the trailers of this yummy rom-com Hum Tum have blown us away. Ahad is back after 4 years (OMG!) in a modern tale of love-hate relationships between two cousins.
What we love about Hum Tum so far is that, it’s star-studded, light-hearted, shows a bunch of youngsters wooing and fighting for each other, and we know that it’s going to be special.
You can watch Hum Tum on HUMTV at 9 pm Monday through Friday from the 1st of Ramadan.
PARISTAN
Another directorial of Danish Nawaz, Paristan stars Aymen Saleem who lives in her fictional world along with Arslan Naseer who deals with his struggles. And they are supported by a stellar cast of Javaria Saud, Asad Siddiqui, Navin Waqar, Mira Sethi with Mooro debuting as an actor, Merub Ali and Jamshed Niazi from Sinf-e-Aahan. Paristan deals with women of the family getting married and the idea is to see them settled in good families.
Paristan looks fun with a lot of chemistry, BTS and excitement that we’re looking forward to.
You can watch Hum Tum on HUMTV at 9 pm Monday through Friday from the 1st of Ramadan.
