We are loving Hum Tum and there’s no other way to say it. It is a breath of fresh air especially when every other show on air is intense, dramatic and sometimes borderline stressful because of its content. In a sea of such shows, Hum Tum is like enjoying a chilled Jet Sport on a hot summer day. It immediately freshens you up and brings a smile to your face thanks to its quirky characters and their adorable antics. Read onto find out what happened in today’s episode of Hum Tum.
Professor Qutubuddin(Adnan)rewards his daughters for preparing such delicious food and saving his face in front of the guests. He doesn’t know that all the food came from Sarmad’s(Junaid) restaurant.
Sarmad on the other hand is beyond happy that he was able to be of service to Maha(Sarah). He prays that the two of them get closer to each other. Junaid Khan’s comedic chops are on full display here as Sarmad. He is such a puppy dog lover boy who is always ready to help Maha in whatever way he can.
While talking to Maha on the phone who wanted to thank him for all his help, Sarmad takes offense when Maha asks him how much she owe him for all the food. In a very dramatic way, he says, “its not always about business, ma’am.” And then hangs up the phone. It is hilarious and also lovable.
Neha(Ramsha) prepares diligently for her viva with Professor Jabir(Saifi). She is so exhausted she falls asleep while studying on the couch. We learn that despite being stern with her, Qutubuddin loves Neha immensely. He watches her sleep peacefully after a long day of studying with a smile on his face. He puts away her books and covers her with a shawl from his shoulders.
The next day, Neha is being cocky and over-confident that she will score more marks in the viva than Adam(Ahad). In fact, she is sure she will top in the entire department. All of that goes out of the window when Professor Qutubuddin comes home and reveals that Adam has scored the highest marks from everyone else including Neha who he beat by 4 marks. Neha tells her father he has shown favoritism towards Adam and locks herself in her room. She is angry she starts looking up wazeefayto beat her enemies. We have all done that, haven’t we? Prayed for the downfall of our opponents in school or at work, haha.
Sarmad and Adam are family men and this shows how they try to cheer up their sister because her mother scolded her. They make jokes to cheer her up and Sarmad even dances for her. This is such a beautiful way of showing how big brothers will do anything to bring a smile on their sister’s faces.
They also sit and listen to their mother who is sad about their father and his ways. She feels she has ruined her life by being with a man who does nothing except waste their money on silly bets. Sarmad along with Adam console her and assure her they won’t let anything happen to their family. Sarmad, since he is the eldest child, knows he has a responsibility towards his family and he never backs away from it. Talk about being an ideal child.
Talking about performances, everyone is superb in their parts however Ramsha Khan as Neha and Junaid Khan’s Sarmad are two of our favorite characters. They steal the show every time they are on screen. The dialogues are witty and sarcastic and the story has been really entertaining so far.
