If you consider the history of Lux Style Awards, what truly makes this award show so special and honorable is their commitment to recognizing and crediting the Pakistani fashion, film, TV and music industry for their talent and years of work. And to be accepted on this magnanimous platform is synonymous to being royalty.
However, with the 21st Lux Style Awards that were held last week in Lahore, the grandeur of this event was boosted with some memorable and riveting moments when the Lux Style Awards decided to commend, award and speak well of 3 highly inspirational women in Pakistani, cinema, fashion and music. And with this, the 21st Lux Style Awards proved that this is more than “just” an award show, because they wanted to highlight and celebrate enterprising and supremely talented women, and their contributions.
The Lux Style Awards have always forayed into being the most forward brand, therefore, the idea to empower strong and notable women in the fraternity and laud their journey’s was indeed an important step so we could hone the core of what makes the Pakistani industry so solid and grounded to their core!

LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – CINEMA
The queen of Punjabi cinema and one of the leading veteran actors, Anjuman Shaheen, who had made her way into the hearts of millions during her career, was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by Mr. Amir Paracha – Unilever’s Chairman.
Anjuman Shaheen’s illustrious career was given homage on stage at the 21st Lux Style Awards by Humaima Malik, who performed on one of Anjuman Shaheen’s most popular songs and earned a huge round of applause when the former was brought on stage. The night was glorified by Anjuman Shaheen’s heartfelt speech when she thanked superstars, legends and icons like Sultan Rahi, Muhammad Ali and Madam Noor Jehan for playing significant roles and putting her in the spotlight, and crowning her as the OG of Punjabi cinema.
LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – FASHION
The women who pioneered the idea of a fashion shoot in Pakistan and injected it with energy; Fehime Fifi Haroon is a name that is synonymous to fashion, is a media producer and a Journalist. When fashion was evolving, is when Fifi Hasroon started delving into fashion as a way of expression and it’s manifestation on the Pakistani society.
In Pakitan, Fifi Haroon redefined fashion on her own terms and opened a forum for women by setting boundaries and marking new paths. And the 21st Lux Style Awards acknowledged her body of work and her enthusiasm to reconstruct fashion through her beliefs with the “Lifetime Achievement Award.”

LUX CHANGE MAKER AWARD – MUSIC (POSTHUMOUS)
The incredible, Nazia Hasan was posthumously awarded for her part in the shaping the Pakistani pop music during her lifetime. She was young, gorgeous and a spark of fire with her vocals that resonate even today. Stars like, Urwa Hocane, Amar Khan, Osman Khalid Butt and Kinza Hashmi gave colorful tribute to Nazia Hassan on the 21st Lux Style Awards.
Strong women like Anjuman Shaheed, Fifi Haroon and Nazia Hassan have lived their journeys because of their strength, and the 21st Lux Style Awards have honored that strength on a national platform! And this is what makes the 21st Lux Style Awards truly luxe!
