Pakistani actor, Wahaj Ali is not only turning heads, but he’s creating a stir and buzz of excitement in everyone’s heart for his palpitating performances in, not just one, but two dramas, that are currently on air: Tere Bin opposite Yumna Zaidi and Mujay Pyar Hua Tha with Hania Amir where Wahaj Ali plays two characters that are like North and South pole in characterization.
Wahaj Ali has grown tremendously as an actor and given some commendable performances in the last 2 years, so we’re not surprised that he is the nation’s heartthrob for playing the arrogant, yet enticing Murtasim in Tere Bin.
So here are the top 5 dramas played by Wahaj Ali and show is acting prowess!
TERE BIN
While Murtasim is an arrogant feudal lord from an influential family in Hyderabad, he is not as toxic as he seems from the trailers. Meerab on the other hand, is a resilient girl who is not afraid to speak her mind. And what’s common between these two is their intolerance towards injustice apart from their egos. Tere Bin also highlights the importance of consent, compatibility and law.
As of right now, Tere Bin is trending for the excitement and chemistry brewing between Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi and netizens are losing it, and so are we! (wink)
Schedule: Wednesday and Thursday, 8 pm on Geo TV
MUJAY PYAR HUA THA
What do we really expect from a love triangle that speaks of unspoken love, attraction and jealousy? Mujay Pyar Hua Tha is a cliched drama with so many scenes that could have been delivered well, however the brilliant performances from our leads cover all the flaws.
Mujay Pyar Hua tha may be the stereotyped drama, however Wahaj’s portrayal of a love-stricken Saad, who has unrequited love for his cousin, kind of shows a general desi household, one that the viewers can so easily relate with.
Ps. The OST, Kahani Suno by Kaifi Khalil makes Mujay Pyar Hua tha even more scintillating.
Schedule: Monday 8 pm on ARY Digital
DIL NA UMEED TU NAHI
Dil Na Umeed Tu Nahi is one of the most underrated social dramas that highlighted child trafficking. the mafia that controls children begging, the dowry culture and forced prostitution. And somewhere voices animal rights in our country as well. There are no saas-bahu issues, no love story or domestic fights, rather it sheds emphasis on the evils spread in our society and end up ruining countless lives.
Wahaj Ali plays Jamshed and Yumna Zaidi is Sumbal aka Allah Rakhi who is sold for a handful of gold and money and therefore ends up as a sex worker.

JO BICHAR GAYE
Jo Bichar Gaye starred Wahaj Ali and Maya Ali as Rumi and Sonia and was based on the clashes leading to the collapse of Dhaka during the war in 1971.
Wahaj Ali emulated the role of a Bengali student activist and finds himself amidst struggles for the causes he believes in, albeit they may not always be on the right side of history.
