With each passing episode Jhok Sarkar continues to attract viewership. The unique script by Hashim Nadeem, great directions by Safie Hassan and a mix of fresh and experienced actors makes this HUM TV starrer a refreshing watch. The icing on the cake is Farhan Saeed’s never seen before avatar of a tough cop. He takes on corrupt feudal lords by enforcing laws and regulations in the anarchy Jhok Sial.
ASP Arsalan Reaches Jhok Sial
The assistant station master at the railway station gets shocked when ASP Arsalan (Farhan Saeed) asks him if he could get a ride to reach Jhok Sial. The former gives the latter a warning that he won’t be able to stay here for long. ASP Arsalan asks him about the actual reason behind it? Cutting a long story short the station master tells him that he has entered the realm of a ruthless dictator. Barring a cattle doctor and dispensary, the brutal tyrants rule the entire district.
ASP Arsalan Gets An Unpleasant Welcome
ASP Arsalan reaches the Jhok Sial police station, hides his identity and asks the junior police officer to file a complaint about his stolen language. He gets a cold reply, but when he discloses that his luggage has lots of cash and jewelry, the greedy inspector Jahan Dad agrees to file a complaint. He keeps a condition that he will have to deposit half of the recovered stuff at the station’s treasury.
The Cat’s Out of The Bag
The very next morning ASP Arsalan finally reveals his identity. The incompetent police force at Jhok Sial gets the biggest shock of their life. Jahan Dad couldn’t believe it as he had requested Piraal (Asif Raza Mir) to pull the string for his promotion. The new ASP turns the table left right and center. The policemen fail miserably on various accounts like fitness, loading and unloading the gun and more. He checks the registers and is surprised to see that not even a single FIR is filed in the last four years.
ASP Arsalan Orders New Commands
ASP Arsalan feels that the people of the district do not trust the police because of their incompetence. He sets the record straight and orders new commands like the repairing and maintenance of guns, performing duties in three shifts, starting fitness programs and more. He further announces that he will lead the fitness session by running five kilometers a day. The episode ends on an intriguing note when ASP Arsalan hears something unusual at midnight.

The first three episodes of Jhok Sarkar had a few scenes featuring Farhan Saeed. The director’s plan of building ASP Arsalan’s character worked big time. Resultantly, the impact was huge. The fourth episode was indeed ruled by Saeed. His portfolio boasts of several memorable performances, but his act as ASP Arsalan utilizes his potential to the fullest. Farhan expands his wings and showcases his acting chops, charisma and versatility to the fullest. So far, Farhan Saeed’s performance is flawless. Moreover, it would be interesting to see his chemistry with Sassi (Hiba Bukhari) who plays her love interest.
