HUM TV’s Jhok Sarkar is a breath of fresh as compared to the mediocrity being aired on prime time. The story of an honest cop fighting alone with the corrupt system of Jhok Sial comes across as highly gripping. Written by Hashim Nadeem, and directed by Safie Hassan, Jhok Sarkar is produced by MD Productions. Six episodes downs, Jhok Sarkar gains more momentum and spices up the proceedings.
ASP Arsalan Meets Meeral
Meeral (Usman Javed) opens a Pandora box of sarcasm in front of ASP Arsalan (Farhan Saeed). Be it his officer ranking or his bike, he tells him that the police station of Jhok Sial is being run by Peeral (Asif Raza Mir). This includes the utility bills, maintenance work and expenses of the police force. Meeral makes fun of the government that they aren’t interested in paying attention to the police department. He further warns ASP that he will soon be short of funds and will seek help from the haveli. ASP Arsalan returns to the police station and inquires about the unpaid dues from Jahan Dad (Malik Raza). As usual, he tells all lies and gets rid of the situation.
The Police Force Prepares To Stop The Human Trafficking Gang
The ASP gets some confidential news about human smuggling at the border. This act is of course done by the orders of Meeral. The junior officer further says that this has been a routine practice in Jhok Sial but the police never caught any suspect. The ASP orders a complete raid and informs the regional magistrate. The raid by the ASP turns out to be successful as he puts a full stop to human smuggling. Sassi’s (Hiba Bukhari’s) brother Jeevan is also a part of the gang and gets shot by the ASP.
ASP Arsalan Makes An Effort To Revive Education
ASP Arsalan is surprised to see that the government school is closed and is utilized for illegal activities. Sassi’s father meets ASP and gives him an inkling about the scenario. He was the headmaster of the school and due to an injury, he had to quit his job early. He further requested the government to hire Sassi as a primary teacher, but never got a response back. ASP assures him that he will revive the education system of Jhok Sial soon.
More In in Jhok Sial Ep 6
Peeral is shocked to hear the news of Shaukat going missing. He warns his right hand that this news should not reach Noori (Mamia). Sardari begum (Sakina Samo) visits Noori and warns her that her stay in the haveli won’t last long. However, she gets a befitting reply for everything. Zulekha (Faiza Gillani) continues to weep as she can’t get over the shock of Peeral’s third marriage.
SiddySays Thinks
Episode six was full of drama and suspense. Farhan Saeed’s act as ASP Arsalan was on point. Watching him in a cop’s avatar makes viewers discover his range of diversity of pulling any character with full conviction. Not even in a single scene he goes off track. The fearless attitude he carries throughout is truly commendable. He struck a chord with the viewers as Farhan’s character has various shades be it the hard-hitting cop, obedient son, or the loyal boyfriend. Being the terrific actor Saeed is, we couldn’t imagine anyone doing more justice to the role.
