101 Talaqain’s episode 1 starts with a guy who is basically countering the love at first sight perspective and giving this act biology terms. He proves how chemical reactions manipulate people and because of this, the concept which does not make sense still exits, the guy’s identity later reveals to be Rustum Kavasji- who is basically a magistrate.
Marriage is basically a very serious topic but he explains this in a very interesting and simple way and relates this with the connection of nature. In this episode, he further explains that marriage is basically a bond between two different creatures so how can they be happy? At this point, the audience is left anticipating how the episode will take shape.
All the things he explains is through couple therapy or by giving an example of a couple.
Although the divorce process is a very serious matter, but in this TV serial they have incorporated this process in a very satirical way which engages the viewers and also explains the matter in depth.
Another very new thing in this drama is its rap song which was played between the episodes.
Previously, rap songs were not included in Pakistani drama, the use of a different song genre here adds to the uniqueness of the drama and we expect this to start a new trend for Pakistani OSTs, as well.
The series promises to be a great watch as it tackles some serious issues while maintaining a touch of comedy.
The production side of this episode is very good because they have used cinematic shots which are adding depth especially when the OST is being played. The use of lighting to add colours and control the dramatic appeal for audiences is also very beautifully presented. Now the audience is curious to know what will happen in this series and how will the episodes unfold!
