Just when you thought that there was a hiccup in the Pakistani fashion industry, designer extraordinaire, Fahad Hussayn created a festive chaos with digital janjaalpura – his Spring/Summer ’22 showcase.
What was witnessed, in true Fahad Hussayn style, was an impressive setup in an open-garden with his (limited number) of guests and muses in ensembles that were the perfect incarnation of traditional fashion and couture as one. And the u-shaped runaway brought Fahad Hussayn’s digital janjaalpura to pure life with live music by Horeya Asmat, Pakistan’s first and only female Dhol player and the articulate, Wahab Shah.
Digital Janjaalpura by Fahad Hussayn was not just a fashion show, but an entire experience that has revitalized fashion, both in essence and spirit.
CLASSIC & RICH TONES
Janjaalpura brought back a wave of classic and rich tones like wine red, muted gold, black with some subtle pastels that did not just embody grandeur and royalty, but they also played by combining traditional and contemporary colors, creating a striking palette.
SHERWANI’S, PISHWAS & LEHENGAS
Janjaalpura was a nostalgic display of classic silhouettes that are time-honored, like sherwani’s, pishwas and lehenga’s, highlighting the magnificence of traditional and truly festive bridal wear. You will also see long open embellished shirts with lehenga’s and the koti style for a bodice.
TRADITIONAL EMBELLISHMENTS
The quintessential Fahad Hussayn bride boasts the age-old craft and technique of traditional embellishments like gotta work, zardozi, tilla and dabka with a lot of resham weaved into his wedding couture collection. So, this beautiful collection is a perfect marriage between revered to modern style to suit every bride.
