Our youth is the hope of our future and if we wish to see a change in the world, then we need to empower the youth so they can take us forward by teaching them a sense of community and belonging, education and providing opportunities to grow. And in order to bring that much-needed change in the lives of our youth, AkzoNobel, one of the global paints and coating company has partnered with SOS Village Pakistan through the “Let’s Color Initiative”.
Colour impacts life through positive energy, so when you empower a whole generation of youth, you are transforming lives. The “Let’s Color Initiative” aims to inspire and create a new future for children and their families and this was achieved by designing cheerful and happy living spaces through a program that taught these children about the color theory and various color techniques for the application of colors by hands-on AkzoNobel volunteers.
The 30 participants from the SOS Village displayed their fun and creative sides with the help of the many willing AkzoNobel volunteers who happily teamed up with the youth by giving their living spaces fresh and colorful makeovers that were learnt through the “Let’s Color Initiative” program.
AkzoNobel Pakistan hopes to equip the participants with useful and empowering skills that will aid them to up their self-confidence and bring them one step closer to leading productive lives, both personally and professionally. Her Excellency, Mrs. Ardi Stoios-Braken, the Dutch Ambassador to Pakistan appreciated the efforts of AkzoNobel’s program in making a conscious effort to impact the youth. And Saad Mahmood Rashid, CEO AkzoNobel Pakistan, also shed light on the “Let’s Color Initiative” and how AkzoNobel delivers shared value, combining the people, products and expertise for the benefit of wider community.
