3: Third and perhaps the most important thing I do for detox is read a good book. Mental detox is the hardest yet the most rewarding way to rid yourself of damaging thoughts. Some people exercise (running is a good medium), some people vent (which is addictive and dangerous) but I always find using my imagination and reading, a great mental exercise. It takes your mind away from the often poisonous gossip and unneeded negativity which unfortunately, can come with extended social commitments and interface. I suggest read some light hearted fiction!
