Dobara is giving us all the reasons to tune to every week with its intriguing storyline and commendable performances. Bilal Abbas is a sight to see owing to his phenomenal portrayal of the lead character Mahir. He is essaying the layered character of Mahir and keeping us invested in Mahir’s journey. Last night’s episode focused on Mahir impressing everyone in business and house while it also gives us some hints about Sehar (Sabeena Syed) and Phuppo’s (Sakina Samo) plans to get Mahir kicked out of the house.
MAHIR’S FATHER SUFFERS A HEART ATTACK
Jahangir (Shabbir Jan) was not feeling well since the past few episodes and Mehrunnisa (Hadiqa Kiyani) arranged an appointment for him with a specialist. He reached the hospital after Mehrunnisa’s insistence and fainted upon arrival. Mehrunnisa, hence, asks the doctor to provide him with the best treatment and also calls Babar to inform Mahir and his family about it. Mahir is least interested in hearing about his father and his illness while Jahangir’s wife Adila (Fareeda Shabbir) and daughter rush to the hospital. Upon arrival, and after seeing Mehrunnisa, Adila misunderstands her to be Jahangir’s third wife but she clears that she is actually Mahir’s wife.
ZAMEER IS FACING FINANCIAL WOES
After Mahir took over Mehrunnisa’s business and found out about Zameer (Nabeel Qureshi) using her business for his personal gains, he made sure that Zameer suffers for it. Hence, now Zameer is not getting any contracts and therefore, suffering from financial loss. Hence, he asks Minal (Maheen Siddiqui) to go and ask her mother for some money, which she refuses to do.
MAHIR EARNS EVERYONE’S RESPECT
Whether it is Uncle Fareed or the company’s old employees, everyone sees Mahir as a dedicated and loyal person to the business. Mahir has impressed everyone with his hard work and intelligent decisions so far and therefore, they are all praises for his abilities in front of Affan (Usama Khan). Meanwhile, at home, Mahir observes their house help Shano being harassed by their driver Shabbir and he takes a stand for her and tries to make Shabbir apologize and realise his mistake. He does in front of him but not with his heart and hence, Mahir has added another person to the list of people who do not like him at home.
PHOPO AND SEHAR PLAN TO DEFAME MAHIR
On the other hand, Phuppo is all set to defame Mahir and has made Sehar a part of her plan as well. The two were shown talking about it but we will have to wait to find out more about it.
OUR VERDICT
The story of Dobara is now at an interesting point and is making us wait anxiously for the next episode. In this episode, where at one hand, Mahir gave us all the reasons to love him once again, but his previous statements about getting hold of Mehrunnisa’s wealth confuse us. Even though his actions are often of a true gentleman, his confessions to his friend make us doubt him. Whether it comes to business or household affairs, he displays great care and handles everything with a lot of intelligence. As a result, we see him attaining a place in everyone’s hearts except for Mehrunnisa’s children and Durdana Phuppo. Bilal Abbas has done a remarkable job in this portrayal and deserves appreciation for it.
We will have to wait for next Wednesday 8PM to find out how Phuppo and Seher’s plan will work out against Mahir and whose side of the story Mehrunnisa believes.
