This is the month for fashion – be it lawn, pop-up exhibitions, collection launches or even fashion weeks! The first major one to kick off this season is the Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week Spring Summer 2015. This fashion week is happening from March 31st – April 3rd, 2015 in Karachi and promises to be a week of incredible fashion.
Fashion Pakistan, as one of the premier fashion bodies of the industry, currently is home to some of the finest fashion designers of Pakistan holding two major events each year. And every year, the events are best known to celebrate pret, high street, luxury pret and couture. In the previous edition, we saw some fabulous couture and bridal ensembles by a myriad of designers as you may remember from our fashion diaries post.
This time around, we expect to see the bar raised as designers come together to showcase high street and pret. Hopefully, we will see some extravagant pieces that boast aesthetic, skilled workmanship and nothing predicatable! Meanwhile, the official lineup of the designers has still not been released. However, a little birdie tells us that some of the big names of the industry will be participating such Zara Shahjahan, Nida Azwer, Sania Maskatiya, Lala Textiles including council members Wardha Saleem, Sanam Chaudhari, Deepak Perwani.
Ms Sanam Chaudhri, Chairperson of the Council, said, “Telenor has been a wonderful partner in collaboration for this year’s Fashion Pakistan Week. We look forward to an even bigger and more successful event, with a strong team and a multitude of talented designers on board this will be an event to remember. ”
Ms. Wardha Saleem, CEO Fashion Pakistan, added “The Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week is bound to take Karachi by storm with the great Pakistani fashion industry bringing its best to the table.”
