I admit my bias for this particular selection. I have been an ardent follower of this Dutch duo and have never for a second felt bored by their collections. Their minds work in a different way altogether. They are highly unorthodox in their themes and materials. If fashion is an art then Viktor and Rolf do justice to it. Their collections have always carried a personal element. It’s not about looking beautiful- its much deeper, its invoking an emotion. People either love them or hate them. ‘Wearable Art’ presented at this couture week is exactly as the title suggests. No pretense, no hogwash- just beautiful images on a moving canvas.
