We’re sharing the hit & miss red carpet looks from #NASFF21 – an award ceremony that celebrated short films by amateur filmmakers and has represented Pakistan nationally and globally.
Some of our top celebrities graced the #NASFF21 by serving as NASFF Ambassadors such Rimsha Khan, Farhan Saeed, Wahaj Ali, Mashal Khan amongst some popular names. And the lovely Mahira Khan was hosting the show with Ahsan Khan.
Over 300 film submissions were evaluated by an esteemed jury with 73 universities were roped in from across Pakistan. The best work was be awarded a one-year’s training program in Film Making (F&TV Development, Producing & Screen Writing) at one of the most prestigious Film & TV universities in the world. A Viewer’s Choice Award was also announced in the finale. You can view the shortlisted films on the NASFF official YouTube channel.
HIT #1: MAHIRA KHAN
Mahira Khan absolutely nailed both her looks, from the embellished grey Kaftan from Elan to the emerald green silk Sari from Saniya Maskatiya, MK was super graceful and charming.
However, out of both her looks, our top pick was the Kaftan because it was a perfect daytime formal wear that was nothing over the top and looked very chic. The lovely blow-dry, red lips with rosy cheeks and silver hoops put MK’s look on our #1 hit looks at the #NASFF21
MISS #1: FARHAN SAEED
Farhan Saeed generally pulls it off nicely on the red carpet, however, we somehow found his all-black look a little too (ahem) flashy for our taste, especially because of the low-neck black body-hugging shirt, maybe. It was more a “I’m here to party” at the #NASFF21 (Lol).
HIT#2: WAHAJ ALI
Wahaj Ali looked really neat and chipper in that chocolate brown Uniworth suit and added some pizzazz with that polka dot tie. It was an overall modern and neat look and therefore a hit for us!
MISS#2: AIMAN MUNEEB
Aiman Muneeb’s choice of outfit at the #NASFF21 was possibly the worst, because that angrakha-styled (it’s not black) frock with chooridar and a tie-dye dupatta that did not even match her suit, was an outdated look for the red carpet! Aiman is generally dressed nicely, but this outfit definitely screams for the fashion police to step in!
HIT#3: ALI REHMAN KHAN
Ali Rehman looked dapper and sharp in this dark grey double-breasted suit and paired it with a pistachio green tie for that pop of color and a pocket square. We loved the charm he was oozing with his piercing smile and gelled-back hairdo.
MISS#3: RIMSHA KHAN
Rimsha Khan looks like someone with a cheerful personality, however, here is why her red carpet look is a NAY!
- Her somber choice of all-black raw silk puffed/full sleeved Sari in 38 degrees

HIT#4: MISHAL KHAN
The Kaftan looks great on tall and slender-figured ladies and Mishal looked really nice opting for an emerald green embroidered Kaftan by Khaadi. We liked the geometrical Arabic style of this Kaftan with the neatly tied bun on her nape.
MISS#4: MUNEEB BUTT
Muneeb Butt looked average/cocky-ish in that double-breasted suit which gave more of a winter vibe and failed to impress us. It was too bland!
