HUM TV’s Jhok Sarkar has been a triumph. The drama serial gives us a break from regular
drama viewing and keeps viewers intrigued with its unique narrative and star
performances. Written by Hashim Nadeem, directed by Safie Hassan and produced by
MD Productions, Jhok Sarkar is headlined by Farhan Saeed.
ASP Arsalan Arrests Mukhtara
ASP Arsalan succeeds in arresting Mukhtara in front of the entire jarga. Meeral (Usman
Javed) tries his level best to stop him but Peeral (Asif Raza Mir) allows ASP to take
Mukhtara away. Peeral was aware that if they tackled this matter in their own way, it
would give a wrong impression to the home minister's son Junaid. He asks ASP Arsalan
about the orders sent by the high officials to escort him. The latter replies that there
aren’t any suitable cars worthy of escorting his car. Also, he had to perform this important
raid at the haveli. The ASP finds Junaid a sensible politician and wishes him to join politics
soon. On reaching the police station ASP Arsalan tells Mukhtara that he doesn’t believe in
beating his prisoners. Therefore he should tell the truth about Iqbal right away.
Lubna and ASP Arsalan Reunite
Lubna comes to meet ASP at the police rest house. Asp tells him that people in Jhok Sial
may create a scandal about them. Lubna takes him back to the past and reminds him of
how he left her and is now leading a happy life. ASP tells her that he is trying to cope with
the past and is keen on learning to be happy. He further says that Junaid is an interesting
man and the country needs such politicians. He will surely make her happy in future.
Lubna warns ASP that Peeral won’t let him stay in Jhok Sial for longer. She assures that
she will talk to her father-in-law to make things easier for him.
ASP Arsalan Dodges Meeral
Mukhtara is taken to the court for an official statement. ASP orders his men to be alert as
anything can happen. Meeral as expected sets a trap to kidnap Mukhtara. He tells his
henchmen of not getting arrested by the police. However things don’t go as expected, the
police mobile arrives and Meeral is shocked to see some other prisoner in the van. The
policeman on the bike too isn’t ASP. The episode ends on a high note as ASP Arsalan takes
the dessert route to bring Mukhtara back to the prison.

Episode 16 was a roller coaster ride with so much going on. Lubna’s comeback is a
pleasant surprise. The star performer Farhan Saeed proves his command over his craft.
What a performance! His act as ASP Arsalan is flawless. He digs his teeth into a meaty role
and completely justifies his performance. He shines in every scene and every fame. With
Jhok Sarkar Farhan takes a giant leap as an actor and proves that give him any role and he
will add the skin and bones and make it his own.
