Gone are the days when we had a worry about a contoured jawline, flushed cheeks with highlighter and bold lips. It’s hot and humid outside any way and you have to wear a mask so why put in all the effort? The new normal is with makeup & face mask and there are multiple ways to highlight your features with makeup & a face mask.
Now it’s all about a clean and prime skin and working on the upper level of your face instead of the entire face with makeup & face mask. And we’re stepping into Eid any way, and if you want to switch up the creativity, why not do something that fun, glamorous and safe. Here are some drug store products to get just in case.
THE MAGIC IS IN THE EYES
Since you have the mask on, so all the focus is on your eyes. So you amp it with colour and clarity, which you can achieve by experimenting this season. Since you’re mouth’s covered any way, so you shift your focus
GROOMED EYEBROWS
Tweeze them, wax strips or dermaplanners – a lot us have learned to do our own eyebrows during Covid-19. So it’s time to groom your eyes brows.
MASCARA
A bit of falsie effect won’t hurt if you have the mask on. Add layers of water proof mascara on your lashes and let them do the talking.
HIGHLIGHT YOUR WATER LINER
You want to look awake, so you can add a silver, white or gold water liner. You can even add neon colors like pearl pink. Also, there’s no harm in highlight the inner corner of your eye with some shimmer to give that pop.
CONCEALER
A little concealer won’t hurt to brighten up those eyes and you can set it with some loose powder.
CURATE A PROPER SKIN CARE ROUTINE
Before you apply makeup, it’s extremely important to take care of your skin routine so the products soak in your skin to replenish it before you glow on Eid.
SAY NO TO FOUNDATION
The weather’s humid, so it’s better that you skip the foundation and opt for a tinted moisturizer maybe on the areas only that are not covered. However if you do have to take your mask off, then wear it to even out the skin tone. Keep it light.
CTM
A little tender loving care will go long away. So make sure to cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate your skin every night or before wearing makeup. And add a toner in your regimen to balance the PH levels of your skin. You’ll breakout and get allergies so let your skin breathe by being bare faced.
HIGHLIGHT/BLUSH
We all want that glow a little bit of shimmer and shine wont hurt nobody. So highlight all the way up!
SANITIZE/WASH YOUR MASK
It’s essential to wash or sanitize your mask because makeup is transferable and you don’t want all the oils, bacteria and product to go back to your face and breakout. Soak it in hot water and an irritant free product to soften it. And stock up on masks made from soft fabric.
