Thirteen episodes down Meri Shehzadi continues to top the rating charts. The show has entered its crucial phase where the protagonist Dania takes complete charge of the narrative and breathes fire left right and center. Starring Urwa Hocane in a tutorial role, Meri Shehzadi is written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed.
DANIA’S PHILANTHROPY WORK CONTINUES
Dania (Urwa Hocane) and her grandfather Sanaullah (Qavi Khan) continue to help the needy and feed the poor. She has no agenda to grab eyeballs or make headlines. However, the media fully captures Dania’s angelic acts and publishes them all over the media. This of course doesn’t go well with her mother-in-law Shahana (Atiqa Odho). She labels Dania’s good deeds as a publicity stunt to gain sympathy. This allegation doesn’t go well with Dania and she gives Shahana a befitting reply. Dania sets the record straight that she has been mistreated in this house from day one. She is forced to give justifications and explanations for no good reason. She warns her mother-in-law that she’s had enough. The latter is shocked and walks away from the room.
SHEHROZE ORDERS DANIA TO SEEK AN APOLOGY
Shehroz (Ali Rehman) doesn’t have a brain of his own is simply a puppet controlled by Shahana. As usual, she demands an apology from Dania and further brainwashes his mind of how to control his wife. Shehroz yells at Dania to apologize immediately, not just that he calls Dania ill-mannered stubborn and arrogant. He further degrades her for having a middle-class background. After a much-heated argument, Dania refuses to apologize resultantly Shehroz leaves the room and shifts in the guest room. Dania is rock solid and is determined that she won’t show any flexibility this time.
DON’T MESS WITH DANIA
Salahuddin’s (Nauman Masood) wife Almas doesn’t let go of any opportunity to insult Dania. Almas accuses her of being a failed wife who isn’t capable of handling duties well. In response Dania thrashes her to the maximum, she tells her not to waste her time as she is headed toward an important meeting. Almas crosses all the limits and yells and Dania, suddenly Shehroz and Salahuddin join the conversation. Almas at once switches her cunning avatar and becomes Dania’s well-wisher. Shehroz warns Salahuddin that if Dania’s attitude won’t change, she will be replaced just like her ex-wife Cam (Sonia Mishal).
SALAHUDDIN TELLS DANIA TO BE DIPLOMATIC
Dania’s father advises her to keep her emotions aside and learn to be practical. Shehroz won’t go against her mother, and if she openly declares war with everyone, she won’t last long. He emphasizes that she should apologize to Shahana for the sake of her husband. He further informs her that Sanaullah has already dealt with the big tragedy of his wife’s death, and what will happen if he comes gets to witness another bad scenario.
DANIA EXPRESSES REGRET
Dania finally says sorry to Shahana to which she responds very casually. Not just that she adds more fuel to the fire and asks Dania to apologize to Almas as well. The latter however shows off her cheap antics and walks away. Shahana declares war with Dania and tells her not to fly high or else she will cross all the boundaries to bring her down. In return, Dania gives Shahana a befitting reply that she has personally witness her dirty politics be it for the house or for the country. The episode ends on a happy note as Shehroz starts acting like an obedient husband again.
