Right from the onset, Qasim Ali Mureed (director) has not even once put Meri Shehzadi on the back burner. The show’s pace is its USP, which is one of the main reasons that makes it highly watchable. Like every week, this week’s episode had lots of fireworks, revelations, and supreme acting prowess displayed by the lead protagonist Urwa Hocane. So without any further ado, let’s review the Meri Shehzadi episode 8.
Dania’s Greif Continuous
The grief of Dania’s (Urwa Hocane) grandmother continues. Sanaullah (Qavi Khan) consoles her and tells her not to cry. A disturbed Dania tells him that he wouldn’t have gotten her marriage so early. On hearing this, Sanaullah gets shocked and asks if she isn’t happy with Shehroz. Dania, as usual, didn’t want him to know the reality changes the context of the conversation. She meant that she could have spent more time with her late grandmother.
Dania Refuses To Share Shehroze
In these tough times, Sheroze stays at Dania’s place to make her comfortable. She tells her husband that she feels sorry for him, as he has to hide his true feelings. She emphasizes that it isn’t necessary to express love behind closed doors. What is important is to keep her grandfather at ease and comfort. She further expresses her feelings that how she feels insulted and humiliated when he goes to his first wife and son. Dania questions Shehroz that how would he feel, if he had to share her?
Dania Eyes People’s Heart, Not Palaces
Dania always wished to live in the hearts of people and not in palaces. She could have led a luxurious life with her father’s money, but her friends insisted that she should buy expensive perfumes, branded clothes etc. But these materialistic things never had any value in her life. All she wanted was for her father to meet her just once outside the house and spend time with her. Dania breaks down again as she recalls the memories of her late grandmother. Shehroz wants her to take care of herself for the sake of her grandfather.
Cam Reaches The Media
Shehroz tells Sanaullah to keep a prayer meeting for the deceased so that his political colleagues can also join in. Dania asks Shehroz if they should disclose the fact that her late grandmother was also the mother-in-law of Salahuddin (Noman Masood), to which the latter agrees. The situation however takes a drastic turn as Cam’s footage of announcing her marriage gets viral on social media. Sanaullah is in a state of shock and asks Salahuddin to tell him the truth. He out rightly rubbishes the story and says that politicians have to face such controversies on a daily basis.
Sanaullah Questions Dania
At the prayer meeting, Sharfoo Chacha asks Dania about the leaked video which she denies. Salahuddin’s wife Almas is busy spreading hate but gets befitting replies from Dania. The latter tells her that she is a loyal wife and will stand with Shehroz in his tough times. Sanaullah warns Dania that if his wife would have come across the leaked video, she would have certainly killed him. Dania chuckles and says that if she had encountered something unusual, she would have surely tell him about it. Dania lies and tells him that she is ignorant about the entire situation. The episode concludes with Shahana (Atiqa Odho) telling Shehroz to brush the entire situation under the carpet.
SIDDYSAYS THINKS
In the light of the MEri Shehzadi episode 8, we see Dania’s character spreading her wings and demanding her rights. Viewers are served with powerful sequences of the protagonist Urwa Hocane. Like always, she did complete justice to her role. One thing is for sure, Meri Shehzadi is Urwa’s career-best performance so far. She gets the opportunity to dig her teeth into a meaty role and she proves that she is here to do serious business. Not even once, she gets off track and maintains the nuances of Dania in every single scene. As the show progresses, a new chapter in Dania’s life would soon revealed, where she will be joining politics to genuinely help the people. But Shahana has some other plans.
