Spend a weekend with Netflix and hop on with us to watch the top 5 shows that we’ve picked out for you. By the way, these are our personal views and you might disagree with them, but Netflix has brought on some amazing shows and we’re totally psyched that you won’t have to go through trailers or Insta story polls to decide what you should watch this weekend.
While some are series, there’s a film and a documentary from gore to a thriller, success and achievements to a pop corn watch, here are top 5 Netflix weekend watch.
RATCHED
I really like Sarah Paulson, she has this thing about her where she can make you laugh, intimidate you and worse, give you those creepy chills. Imagine a nurse gone totally mosnter-like on her patients after going through a series of events in her life. At times you might feel like you’re watch a random show, but I like the lighting, costumes and the tension that keeps growing in this gory of a thriller.
BLACK PINK, LIGHT UP THE SKY
The KPOP industry is huge and bands like BTS and Black Pink have opened up a whole new world, but do you realise what it takes to be on the top? Black Pink’s Light Up The Sky is a documentary about not the achievements of these girls, but the strenuous lifestyle they have had to adopt to be on the top. You’re a bathroom singer one day and the next day you have an album out, no! That’s now how it works in Korea.
Ps. Koreans have a glass skin, so check out these hydrating masks to achieve that look.
THE QUEEN’S GAMBIT
Addiction, obsession, chaos, passion is what I felt while watching The Queen’s Gambit, it’s so intelligently made. You’d think that you’d get bored, but Beth’s character is so gripping and she scares you, makes you itch in your skin with her passion for chess, that you can’t help but admire her.
SELF MADE: INSPIRED BY THE LIFE OF MADAM C.J WALKER
Octavia Spencer’s take on an African American hair entrepreneur is an inspiring series. She became America’s first black millionaire for her hard work amidst all the backlash and racism that she witnessed. The narrative is strong and insightful and makes you very emotional.
HOLIDATE
This Netflix rom-com is a fluff watch with cute chemistry between two cute people. Since it’s the holidays so there is some sweet romance in it that isn’t too much to take. Don’t expect too much from this movie though, it’ll get you by for an hour or so.
