The entertainment industry is teasing us with some new Pakistani dramas 2023 that are in the queue. With “Tumhare Husn Ke Naam” starring Saba Qamar and Imran Abbas and “Main Manto Nahi Hoon” with Humayun Saeed and Maya Ali in the leads, and some very much talked about show on-air like “Tere Bin”, you have diversity in Pakistani dramas 2023.
The recent ones to be added in the list of must-watch Pakistani dramas 2023 are “Jhoom” and “Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri” and here’s why you should also add them to the list of “next to watch”.
Jhoom
Jhoom starring Zara Noor Abbas and Haroon Kadwani is a serene fairtale romance, but with a twist. However, what is more captivating than it’s melodious OST that serenades us in the 3-minute teaser is the plot. Jhoom highlights an integral societal issue, the relationship between an older woman and a younger man, something that the Pakistani society has not been very accepting of even in this day and age.
Maryam and Aryan fall deeply in love, but due to their age difference, their love tests their relationship through societal pressures and hindrances.
You can watch Jhoom on Geo Entertainment on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm.
Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri
With just 3 episodes down, starring two emerging actors, Dananeer and Khushal Khan, Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri is the story of Saim and Zobia, who are neighbours, childhood friends and have a love-hate relationship with each other.
Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri sets the tone of two star crossed lovers in ep 1 where everyone is under the impression that Saim and Zobia are together because Saim is more than just protective about her and will even pick a fight with his best friend for her. And they both have unsaid feelings for eachother as well. But Saim’s mother doesn’t appreciate their closeness (enters the twist).
So what happens when a struggling musician ends up being in love with his best friend and the girl is unable to convince her family? A seperation orchestrated by the family.
Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri is a relevant tale of young love and a relatable plot and you can watch it every Friday at 8:00 pm on HUM TV.
