Honestly, Lux Style Awards 2022 had very little to offer from glamour to star power and memorable moments. We do applaud the efforts for cheering and rewarding the nominees from 2021, but with multiple controversies, and a lack of attendance from the film, fashion and TV industry, we narrowed down our favourite moments from the Lux Style Awards 2022 on our finger tips.
SHEHZAD ROY & WAHAB BUGTI’S RENDITION OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
The event kick-started with a glorious rendition of the national anthem by Shehzad Roy and the Coke Studip 14 fame, Kana Yaari singer Abdul Wahab Bugti. However it earned “some” criticism with varied opinions, particularly by Adnan Siddiqui who did not like the creative touches given to it. But fellow actors like Sajal Aly and Farhan Saeed were enthused with this version as it did not meddle with the originality and sanctity of the Pakistani national anthem.
NATASHA BAIG’S SPEECH
Natasha Baig bagged the award for Best Live Performance of the Year – Viewers’ Choice went for Lahooti Melo. Baig gave an endearing speech about women and how they should be accepted and appreciated for their hard work. Hailing from a small town in Gilgit-Baltistan, Baig wanted to make a public statement that girls from small towns can also make it big through the right representation.
WHEN FAUZIA AMAN WON “STYLE ICON OF THE YEAR” AWARD
Fouzia Aman won the Style Icon of the Year award and broke all the noise with a loud statement for the critics to hear, when she said, “they say that models have a very short life but this [the reward] is the answer.”
