Sohail Asghar is no more among us. A legend, a name to remember forever. He contributed to our film and drama industry with his pure skills of acting. He was born in Lahore and entered the industry as an RJ for Radio Pakistan. Since then, he continued to serve the audience. But, unfortunately, his poor health condition stole a gem from us.
Illness of Sohail Asghar
Sohail Ashgar passed away recently, on 13 November 2021. He was battling against the illness for a long time. His wife shared that he had been ill for more than a year. The family confirmed his death. They shared that his health deteriorated after gastric surgery. He could not overcome the effects and soon came to an end. Sohail Asghar was admitted to a hospital before his death. He died at 11:30 on 13 November 2021. His funeral took place today at Bahria Town Lahore.
Career
His career involves a variety of contributions. Starting with RJ, he continued this service from 1978 to 1988. Later he started his acting from a theater. He made his debut appearance in the film in 2003. Some of his well-known drama serials are Laag, Chand Girhan, Khuda ki Basti, Kajal Ghar, Piyas, and many others.
Request for Wishes
Following a prolonged ailment, he requested all his fans and followers to pray for him. He requested wishes for his speedy recovery. In May 2020, he posted a picture of him in the hospital. The picture was from a hospital. He confirmed that he would be going through stomach surgery. With the picture, he posted the following caption, “ Fans, friends and family, Allah Almighty are with me always. I strongly believe in miracles. I believe in the power of love and prayers”
Film actors like Ahsan Khan, Faysal Qureshi, Mohib Mirza, and many others are deeply grieved on his death. They took to social media to offer their condolences to the family and to remember his services. We pray that May his soul rest in peace.
