As a woman I have always been envious of how easy it is for men to get ready. Going to a wedding: wear a sherwani, going to a mehendi: wear shalwarkurta, going to a valima: wear a suit and they can wear that same shalwarkurta for eid, the same sherwani five years later to another wedding and its still on trend and that suit is worn many a times, at plenty of formal events as well as interviews. With the rise of the metrosexual man, boundaries between what colours and patterns that were purely for men have blurred allowing men all over the world to be daring and creative to define their own personal style. Every time I have gone shopping with my male friends, I instantly pick out floral printed shirts or quirky ones with ducks made on them. I even tried tricking my brother into wearing a floral shirt, years ago, by gifting it to him. To this day I am unsure of if he ever did, I never saw that shirt again. No matter what your style, here are some menswear staples that can tie any pattern, colour or material together for the perfect outfit.
THE LEATHER JACKET
You can be skinny, brawny or somewhere in the middle. This is the perfect fall/winter accessory for a casual night out. You can pair this with a pair of jeans, quite literally any shirt boots or moccasins.
