Mira Sethi:
I don’t much believe in making a promise to myself on the last 31st of every year, but I do believe in learning from every day, every experience of one’s life. This year I have learnt the importance – the necessity – of patience with others and with oneself. I have learnt the importance of slow, accumulated hard work. I have learnt the various languages that kindness speaks. In a busy lifestyle, it is easy to overlook, or to be impatient with the small courtesies or dances of communication that make up our existence. These dances are vital. And I don’t mean the badtameez dance of saying one thing and meaning another. I mean the delicate, intelligent dance of courtesy, polite speech, patience. It goes a long way. Finally, I have decided to smile more. To smile, smile, smile my way through this crazy journey of what we call life.
